Dr. Syed Hussain, M.D. has been the Medical Director of the Southern Illinois Regional Wellness Center since 1997. He attended medical school in Pakistan before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and Fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Hussain is an attending physician at Memorial Hospital and Kenneth Hall Regional Hospital. Additionally he is the Medical Director of the Virgil Calvert Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and Chairman of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee of the Kenneth Hall Regional Hospital.

Dr. Denise Hooks-Anderson, M.D. received her Medical Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine before her family practice residency in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dr. Hooks-Anderson currently the Associate Medical Director of the Family Care Health Centers in St. Louis, Missouri and an assistant clinical professor at Saint Louis University.

Dr. Benedicta Umoru, M.D. was born in Nigeria an has been living in the area for over tn years. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Meharry George W. Hubbard Hospital Medical College received her medical degree at the Medical Academy of Sofia in Bulgaria. Dr. Umoru practices internal medicine at Touchette Regional, Kenneth Hall and Memorial Hospitals.

Linda Wallace C.F.N.P., C.N.M., R.N. received her Masters in Nursing from the University of Kentucky. She is a retired lietenant colonel and a qualified Women’s Health Care Provider, Nurse Midwife and Family Nurse Practitioner.

Dr. HeeMan Song, M.D. was born in Korea has been a doctor in the states since 1976. He has a private practice in Woodriver,IL and also practices at Touchette Regional Hospital.

Kevin Wilson, P.A. received his Physician Assistant training at St. Louis University, and went on to receive his Masters in Internal Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His past experience includes serving as a Physician Assistant at Kenneth Hall Regional Hospital and other locations around Illinois. Additionally, Kevin has been an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Physician Assistant Program at Southern Illinois University.

Dr. Krish, M.D. is originally from India. He recently moved to the East St. Louis region from Iowa where he practiced pediactrics for 35 years. Dr. Krish works at SIRWC 3 days a week.

Dr. Carla Lewis, D.D.S. provides dental services at SIRWC’s Washington Park site.
